NEXUS was “the highlight of my senior year”

Posted by

It is wonderful to get feedback from students who experience NEXUS. We have a guest blogger today, Jordan Stepka of Episcopal Collegiate School in Little Rock, Arkansas where NEXUS was in residence last week. Here is what Jordan has to say:

“My school in Little Rock, Arkansas was fortunate enough to host Nexus for two days this March. Nexus was kind enough to hold two clinics with our percussion department and to perform with us during our annual percussion concert.
“The clinics were fantastic and very informative about how to be a better percussionist. Nexus even gave a special hour long chapel performance for our entire school.
“Seeing Nexus in person and getting the opportunity to work one-on-one with them was an experience I’m sure none of us will ever forget. We were all so thankful to get to spend time with Nexus and work with them on our music.
“Having Nexus at my school was the highlight of my senior year and I will never forget the wonderful experience. ”

Thanks so much for taking the time to blog for us, Jordan!

We also had a wonderful comment from a past ECS student who attended the Little Rock events. Blaiq Charles, a drummer with the band PandAmonium which grew out of his ECS years, says:

“Gentlemen, it was an honor and pleasure to meet and watch you all perform live today. I never thought I’d say this, but today I wished I was a student rather than alumni, just so I could perform with you this evening. Please come again soon!”

We hope we can!  Thanks to everyone in Little Rock for a wonderful residency. Next stop, LaGrange, Georgia!
