Queen Anne’s Lace – August 13, 2009

Posted by

This blog posting has nothing to do with music. They say that it’s good, every once in a while, to stop and

smell the roses. I didn’t do that today, but I did stop and look at the Queen Anne’s Lace, which has all but taken over the 17-acre meadow next to our house this summer. We’ve been here 21-years, and I don’t remember ever seeing this before. It seems that every year of country life offers at least one new surprise. Sometimes it’s an abundance of foxes, or pheasants, or deer flies, or wasps, or dandelions, etc., etc. This year it’s Queen Anne’s Lace.
