Steve Gadd tap dancing with Nexus

NEXUS has had some wonderful opportunities to play with some of the drum-set greats: Ed Thigpen (who sadly just passed away in January this year); most recently Peter Erskine at the Cool Drummings Festival; Fritz Hauser whom you can hear on NEXUS’ Out of the Blue CD; and of course the inimitable Steve Gadd.

NEXUS performed with Steve at Gotanda Kan-I Hoken Hall in Japan at “Super Percussion”, part of the Tokyo Music Joy Festival. Bob Becker not only arranged several pieces that were played in the show by groups in combination (including Steve Gadd’s piece Duke’s Lullaby) but he also directed the whole shebang! (Pun intended!)
